The Light of Life

Our world

great and fiery to the core,

burns so bright,

yet we do not see.

The flame flickers,

a tree falls,

soon there will be nothing.

When it will be no more,

when the world goes dark,

We will finally see clearly.

What we once had,

now in ashes,

was discarded and walked on.

Eyes finally open,

to what what can no longer be ignored,

it was we,

who stomped out the light.
