The Light of my Eyes

Going my own way Trying to distran Becoming familiar with the day For I'll end up in vain But you ask What do I need I need to tear the mask And to learn to plead To spend All my life Hoping there is no end To the light From the pride Of having my sister Though we are different As day is to night She sees the light In the darkest nights Untainted and pure Of the burden of the world But you ask What do I need I need her to stay Unaware of the dark That resides in this life
