The Light of my Life

If the world was ending

And fire scorched the streets

And cities burned through

Turning to ash everything we knew

That would be alright

As long as I was with you.

If the world was ending

And the Earth split apart

And the ocean turned streets blue

Washing the world anew

That would be alright

As long as I was with you.

If the world was ending

And I was with you

And you were with me

Even if everything else ceased to be

That would be alright

Because you are everything to me.
