The Light From the Sunrise

I love you, I miss you, I’m sorry, Forgive me, All these are just words I say to you over and over again in my head, I look for a dim light in this dark room but it seems so small in my sight, I look at myself and I’m ashamed of everything I have done to you, I put flowers in your face but it doesn’t seem to hide your pain, I look around and I see no one except Disappointment staring right back to me, It looks at me and says, “ I have you and there is no way to escape…” I look away and close my eyes to try to make everything disappear then again I see darkness with no Hope to bring me up and out of it, I’m surrounded and being swallowed up by Fear, My heart aches and I seem to go numb from the coldness of reaching the bottom of the deep hole, There, finally, I’ve reached rock bottom and there’s no way out, I keep my eyes shut and finally give in to the Dark and I hand myself in, Unexpectedly, I start feeling warmth and my numbness starts going away, I want to open my eyes but they’re stapled down and it hurts to even try, But I overcome and I face the pain, I open my eyes and I go blind, And why is that? Because after being swallowed up by the Dark and after being handed over to, Disappointment I never imagined myself ever seeing the day where I may see Light, Hope, Love or even come to believe in anything but that changed, I see no Pain, I see no Disappointment, and I don’t feel the presence of Fear anymore, The Light from the sunrise has crushed the power of the Darkness and has scattered to another place in the world, and finally I’m free, I’m able to fly on the wings of Hope and I’m lifted by Love and Faith; both of them hold me up and I fly with freedom, Now I’m ready, ready to believe, ready to get back up and now move forward, Anyways the only way to go when having reached rock bottom is sky high towards the never-ending heavens, So it’s time for me to finally say “onward and upward” and come face to face to the words that started all this: Forgive me, I’m sorry, I miss you, But most importantly… I love you!
