The Light Within

We are born with a spark that fills us with imagination and wonder. 

As we dream the stars above glisten,

Hiding secrets of the future. 

If the Universe could whisper it would tell us we are insignificantly significant.

Passion grows within us, 

Illuminating our souls.

Constantly we grow hungry for creativity,

Food for thought fueled by many inspirations. 

We envision a bigger picture,

One that feeds each part of us.

With each step towards blooming we encounter a new season.

We let light encompass us, 

Flourishing flawlessly in a field of flowers. 

Some of us thrive in the shadows yet go unnoticed.

It seems like the storm will never subside. 

An everlasting cycle of blossoming and losing petals.

The attempt to tune out the rhythm only works for due time. 

As it’s easy to get lost in oblivion.

Slowly withering away,

The Universe knew that all flowers eventually die.

Swept up abruptly by the wind we never saw coming.

Cumbersome to those that adore our presence,

They start to dim as the darkness fills the room around them.

The fire deep beneath, exhausted.

A flame deprived of oxygen is no flame at all.

The spark has vanished,

The stars have hidden away in the dark night.

In this abyss of darkness we search and search,
