The Light of Youth

Looking in a mirror, and seeing the light inside.

Looking back at the past that once was me.

I see one who lost their energy, and became as calm as the setting sun.

Looking at how the mind has grown.

Now knowing many things like Spanish 1,... 2,... and 3.

Time had changed.

When I saw the light fade I knew I had gotten older.

Looking deep within myself, I still see the light of the past inside me.

For which the Light of Youth will never fade.

Never, for an eternity and beyond.
