Lightened Darkness
In your darkness was a light,
And fear had gone away,
So you followed it wandering away from me.
You admired the star of your darkened night,
And it warmed your fallen fantasies.
There was nothing left I could give,
So leaving those empty promises you gave in,
Holding on to nothing, forgetting your skin.
Falter not, since you are level headed no more
The air winding through your skull.
Peace and content, read on your face
Happy now, to feel love’s grace.
In your darkness was a light,
And it danced in the background.
It was bouncing off those hollow walls
Into something you could not see.
There is no such thing as time; it knew it had to leave.
There were hidden spaces and broken glass
To break your sudden drop.
Light as a feather is the new one inside of you,
So fulfilled and carefree.
Guided by the light into a world of belief
so giddy to know the unknown, comforted by the light,
Ignited was the will to live in a golden eternity.
In your darkness was a light,
It was helping you rise to the top.
Ice accented the top of the mountain,
So by wide arms they finally could be reached.
No resisting, time to do the hundred-to-one.
The ice was way too cold, so you melted through it
Weapons of nature were thrown down, sparking fires.
The flames were too hungry to subside,
But you were brighter, warmer than what they could fight.
Taking a hold of your light you floated,
And unfortunately your fingers slipped.
Bringing you back to mortality, where hardships still exist.
