Lighter Fluid (Wade)
I wanna float on Lighter fluid,
I want to watch the fire dance around me,
I want to be lighter fluid,
Cause the mess I'm in is heavy.
Life doesn't slow down,
Won't slow down for anyone.
That current can be redirected,
But not turned around.
There is a time to wade,
A time to go against the current.
A time to be silent,
A time to speak up for what you believe in.
Your actions are your feelings
Are your thoughts are your beliefs
You can tell your future
By the attitude in your presence
Don’t let the storm you’re in
Determine the boat you steer.
I wanna float on Lighter Fluid,

I am a high school senior, and an aspiring singer, actor, and performer. I write poetry from my heart, and much of it is on the fly. When I really think, I impact.
