Lighthouse

The fog that penetrates my dreams,

maroons me onto a ship that's lost at sea.

Denser and denser the fog seems,

as it coils itself around me.

The thunder rumbles,

and the lightning strikes,

A sailor that was once humble,

curses the sea and its like.

But yet, when the sailors lose hope,

the captian presses on.

Even when the sailors have let go of their ropes,

the captain remains strong,

The sailors' fear is an anchor holding them back,

but the captian's hope is a sail guiding them onward.

The hope that the sailors lack,

is making them deaf from hearing what the captain has heard.

In the midst of delusion, the captian knows that hope is something that the ocean cannot toss.

Through the fog the captain can hear hope's silent sound,

For the captain knows that whenever he is lost,

that there is a lighthouse reassuring him that he can be found.
