Lighthouse

Matthew 5:16

16 In the same way, let your light shine before people,

that they can see your good deeds and give honor to your Father in heaven.

Little lighthouse

Nestled deep in darkness ... a small constant light

just a little spark surrounded by nothingness

Purpose not defined ... just there in the night

lost in the dark ... embraced in only-ness

Just to be somewhere ... steady on the rocks

never to question the purpose of it all

Spreading light in spheres where folk are locked

never to mention any doubt at all

Just a little glow ... a smile for the taking

just a short breath for the survival of the weak

Batteries now low ... daylight soon be breaking

to bring its wealth for the flowers of the meek
