Lighthouse
For years I prayed to a God that wasn't there
Prayed because this life was never fair
Insisted on change
But things remained the same
A break never came
I sought guidance
Even questioned my existence
But my pain persisted
In solitude I find my own reply
That things happen they way they should
For that moment and that's the reason why
It was then I realized
When I was at peace with the earth
It was at peace with me
The questions I had were explained by nature
The higher power I needed had always been right there
