Lightning Claps and Thunder Strikes

Do you think of me when it rains? When the lightning strikes and the thunder roars When its pouring and the wind is so strong, You cant keep your eyes open. I guess I shouldnt ask if you think of me When it rains... I should ask if you think of me When its storming. When the sirens ring through the air And when the hail breaks your window. When that glass shatters and Cuts you deep, do you think of me? Do you think of the way I loved storms? And how I thought it was a perfect time To leave the house and go for a drive? The perfect time to put on rainboots And go play in the puddles. The perfect time to go outside And dodge the twigs and leaves the wind threw at us. But also how I hated it. Because it reminded me that within moments Our lives could be over. All because of a little water. I loved the stormy skies And the sound of rain on the car roof. I loved seeing the power And control mother nature has over all of us, But i hated the wind, And i hated the trees in the street. I hated seeing cars crash into each other Head on Because they couldnt see ten feet in front of them I hated you not being there to protect me. I hated walking those dirty streets By myself. I hated being scared of getting hurt by nature. Getting hurt by something so fucking beautiful And dangerous. This is force not to be messed with Thats a lesson I learned long ago. So do you think of me? When it storms. When sirens are blaring. When the wind is so violent, You cant open your eyes. Do you think of me? Do you think of the girl you swore you loved But then abandonded? Do you think of the night i was scared And you werent there? Do you think of the stormy night i jumped off that bridge? Do you think of how you never visited me in the hospital? When there’s a storm Do you think of night i died? Or do you just pretend i never existed? That you never knew me That i was just tragic news story. Because i may still be breathing, But i died that night you left me. I needed you. And you walked away. Do you even remember my name? My favorite color? The way I held you when the voices wouldnt leave you alone? Do you even care? Or have you already forgotten about me and Moved on? What do you think about when the Thunder claps and the lightning strikes? Because it sure as hell isnt me.
