Lightning Strike

Hands freeze on the clockface

Time itself stands still

Pulse picks up a fervid pace

Ears, they ring and trill

Is this akin to the fear of Hell?

Or a taste of Heaven above?

Energy courses through every cell

A pain I hope to dream of

Love or loathe, adore or spite

I know not which is true

Spots of light dotted my sight

When my eyes, they locked on you
