Lightning on Water

Flash goes a light across the sky Boom goes the thunder following I walk to the window Where I watch the storm brewing above As I watch I see it hit the water Lighting it up sending an electrical shock through it Rippling the water in the lake A spectacular sight It’s color so beautiful it’s hypnotizing Lightning on the water Ever so rare Ever so amazing It’s all so beautiful to see When lightning and water meet A blueish purple color becomes visible It's like painting a picture Except it only lasts a few seconds Before it goes away That’s how lightning on water works
