Lights

DREAMS, Dreams of being up there, basking in the warmth of the spotlight. Dreams of finding myself, drowning in the applause of the audience. Dreams of letting go, finally being free to live out my hopes. Dreams of believing in myself, seeing myself upon the stage. A seed of doubt. A falter in my steps. Losing hope of ever being free to dream. Of ever being free to live out my dream. Darkness, despair, and doubt cloud my decisions. Will I ever be able to bask in the warm glow of the lights in the city that never sleeps?
