Lights Out

You see it all the time

the loss of energy

Sitting in a lit room and then

a light flickers off, suddenly

everything becomes more dim

Except it's not as easy as

changing a light bulb, or

even rewiring the circutry

the loss of energy is not just

the loss of energy

it's the loss of words

the loss of emotion

and they are lost

not hidden

lost

that light

that flickered off

is gone

and you're dim

you're dim...
