Lights Within Us

A spec afar
Whose luminosity amplifies as darkness approaches
A small light Suspended in the gloom
Much like the hearts within us
That grows with each gasping breath
With each breaking moment
A star in the dark
A single soul untouched by life’s demons
A glimmer of hope.
