Lilac

Pink and purple kiss the sky as a shy curtain of darkness travels across a single grotto. The lonely wind calls for warmth as the sun retreats behind a cheerful meadow, only to find a cracked surface and glistening stars. A proud moon hangs overhead, guiding those who pass it by. Moments still, and a vault of silk and lace embrace the lilac sky. Past the grove, over the trees, and above the horizon; The day fades, overcome by the night. So too in times of rest, do we find relief.
