Lilith

Lilith

Lilith is the first woman, she came before Eve

But she grew wings, flew into the darkness and took her leave

Refusing to submit to Adam to whom she was betrothed

She left his side to become an immortal, an insatiable rogue

She rules the underworld with beauty and charm

Preying on men’s desires with intent to do them harm

Mothers find no peaceful place to rest their sleepy head

‘Cause she comes for baby boys as they lay at night in their beds

She lurks in the darkness in search of venerable beings

And will only discriminate if that red ribbon is plain to be seen

Her obsession with male dominance is her eternal fire

And she will go to any length to quench that limitless desire

Lilith is the first woman, she came before Eve,

She is a monster, chaotic, a renegade indeed

She rules without a conscience, she loves without a heart

The family is her kryptonite, of which she will never be a part
