Lily

Lily

I wonder if my life is all soothing nature

The lily that grows from a subtle stature

That starts out small, a girl or a guy

That feels dismal, rather appealing to the eye

Learning to embrace the friendship of bee’s

Learning to remember the ABC’s

Tilting left or right towards the sun they see

For the guidance of a parent is a necessity

Blooms in the light and frowns in the darkness

Sleeps in the bed and runs from the heartless

Fights through the snow, and embraces the rain

Tries their best to forget about the pain

Sooner or later the leaves start to fall

And nobody seems to remember it all

Each pedal destroyed, the thick stem peeled

The heart frozen, and the casket sealed

The spirit settled, the soul sorted

Emotions and love have both departed

Side by side, at the break of dawn

And I realize, the Lily and I are one
