Lime Light

There is a song I hear,
So graceful, so pure,
I can't help just to get near.
It makes me feel like a tangled lure.

I wanna reach for the stars, if I can.

Dragging my feet like shoes in the sand.
Thinking, how I could be a better man.
Breathing  in that light that once made me stand.

Here I am, waiting for perfection.
Wondering if I'll ever be made.
There will be no objection.
Hoping, praying that I won't fade.

Here I am with no fear to my feet.
There is nothing that can destroy my beat.
