Limerence

Limerence is stomach butterflies and nervous hearts

It's blushing cheeks and wondering eyes

Fiddling hands and tapping feet

It's speaking to him for the first time.

Limerence is nervous laughter and word vomit

It's fluttering of your heart and the shaking of your hands

It's staring at him below your eyelashes

Quickly looking away when caught

Limerence is timid smiles and sweaty palms

Awkward dates and graceless kisses

It's stiff goodbyes with parents witnessing

It's agreeing to meet again

Limerence is falling in love at last
