A Limerick for Laurie

What’s one thing I need?

That’s a hard one indeed

The thing I can’t live without

What a strenuous thing to think about

What will it take for my mind to be freed?

Perhaps it’s ice cream

Oh how that makes me gleam

Maybe it’s my purse!

Without it, life would certainly be worse

This is a tough one - I do want to scream

Ding ding ding!

There is only one thing

What I can’t be without

There is absolutely no doubt

My mom is the thing – oh, what joy does she bring

My mom is a superhero

Her total number of flaws is zero

To me she is an Iron Lady

I could live without her for a while… maybe

I am lying for sure, my Mom is my cure – she is my hero, and for that I cheer-o!
