Limitations
How far will I go until I look back?
Will I reach my destination before I quit and say its just too much?
Sarah didn't have it in her to push ,
No one taught her right and wrong ,
She saw her daddy beat mom so how could her boyfriend be wrong?
Her boyfriend shoved her to the floor and said he couldn't stand her anymore,
Her ribs were broken that day,
Blood concealed her fingertips,
her blood trail stained the hardwood floor ,
She decided that was the last day he'd hurt her.
Sarah got back up and he kicked her down,
He screamed at her ,
But his words didn't touch her .
Sarah stood that day,
She cried but there were no tears.
Her boyfriend shoved her face in the blood ,
"Clean this mess up",
"No."
"What did you say?
Are you out of your mind?
Do you know who I am? "
"Yes your a coward that claims to be a man ,
beat me if that's what you do,
I refuse to let my heart be stumped too"
"You have a lot of nerve---"
"That I do"
Sarah ran as fast as she could ,
Glass bottles crashed into the concrete floor,
He tried to throw them At her,
But he couldn't touch her anymore.
Would I be like Sarah ?
Let conflicts stack up ,
Hide my feelings until I overload
I can't be Sarah ,
I won't.
