Lines are NOT Fine

It all begins from a young age when they innocently command you
"Color within the lines"
You get a bit older, conscious, and bolder but they demand
"Don't you dare step out of line!"
With freedom, the restrictions increase
"You must drive within the boundary lines"
Placing you under contracts
"Please sign your name on the dotted line"
Forced to work under mounds of debt
"And you must meet the deadline"
You read about the unnecessary war & crime in the new's headlines
Keeping tabs, claiming they protect by invading privacy so
They listen to your conversations on the phone lines
What's the purpose of all theses lines?
they outline the obedient follower they want YOU to be
while the person you are destined to be watches from the sideline
While the lemmings insist that This Is  ......Fine
