Lines That Don't Point

Lines, zigzags, circles, and dots

Inked expressions of feeling that needed release

I can make you cry

I can make you laugh

I can make you angry

But that's just the reactions

Not the responses

You won't get hurt I promise

You are not my target

You are simply the audience to my feelings in an exhibition cage

I just need to get it out

Anger is released in vicious strokes

Tearing across the page

Sadness is lost

Drowned by my tears blurring the words

Happiness is enhanced

Making it permanent on the page

It's out there

No one is hurt

No one is my target

These lines don't point.
