Lines of Grey
Long lines of grey
Poised for march
To Independence?
To Death?
To Glory?
The balls missed the Blueberries
Still strong, know not the Grey
March on! March on!
For your homes!
For your lives!
March fifty yards
Hats raised
March hundreds yards
Unnatural thunderstorm
Disconnected Grey limbs
March on! March on!
Hundreds yards more
More limbs loosed
Over the barrier
Escalation in loss
Over the barrier now
The blueberries rise
Overwhelming scores
More Grey down
March on still!
Sword threw hat
Second wave goes
Through the ending rain
To the wall now
Turn the barrels!
Too many Blueberries
Stinging violently
Surrender or die
All is over now
Save a few Grey
Lines of Grey
Water issues forth
For Freedom
Nothing, nothing else
For Virginia! For Ole Virginia!
