The Lion

On the hot, green grass

there roams a beast

He looks for something to eat

An insect buzzing, birds flocking

    Then the world stands still

A gazelle appears on the Horizion,

little does She know,

the Beast is watching, his breath taints the grass,

the the Lion bolts across the Expanse, and impales the unknowing prey

It is time to eat

but another hides behind

Hidden,

Unseen,

the baby gazelle is in pain,

his dead mother,

blue eyed mother

Lying lifeless on the plain
