Lip service

Job 12:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 Does not the ear test words,
as the tongue tastes food?

Trigger happy ... shooting from the lip

Lots of words seldom hitting the target

Wasting ammunition in a detrimental cause

Making this a career acting truly retarded

Drowning in liberality filled with flaws

“It used to be”, a phrase of sorts by defeated armies

They talked about fighting much bypassing the battlefield

Now others have to pay the cost like most of the farmers

Who lost their fields to progress with little left to yield!

Life goes on or does it now, who knows the difference?

Existence and death together on the road to the grave

Is there a way somehow beyond evidence’s preponderance

To waken the sullen masses who’re impounded and enslaved
