Lips

Lips...
those sweet
soft lips
pressed gently
upon mine
slowly move
kissing my
blushing cheek
ever so softly
gliding towards
my warm ear
another kiss
an easy nibble
a quick whisper
three words
that brighten
any gloomy night
"I love you"
my heart believes
lips...
those harsh
sinister lips
spewing rage
against me
sharp words
slowly cutting
deeply into folds
inside my
tender heart
tears flood
my fearful eyes
wounding words
that turn
fantasies into
inescapable nightmares
my heart is confused
Can you love me,
truly love me
and destroy me?
Maybe love is pain.
