Lipstick on the Lisp

Lipstick on the lisp,

from taking sweet sips of tea.

Unwinding after a long day

even making it is therapeutic

boil the water,

steep the tea,

add honey and lemon.

Lipstick on the lisp,

after I take my first sip and my insides warm

and I sink back into the recliner as I savor the sweet honey.

Lipstick on the lisp,

shows half a smile

after I finish what is left.
