Liquid Courage

i don’t want to wake up in the morning

and think about the words I didn’t say

get lost inside my head

spinning in circles of regret

because being real isn’t easy

without a little liquid courage 

to forget about your fears

so it’s not so hard to find the words

and we all need a little help 

to really try and be ourselves

but I don’t wanna find solace 

in the bottles of liquor on these shelves
