The List of Life

What does one decide

To be awesome before

They have died?

Neither sun nor a run

Neither dessert nor a shirt

Neither being hearty or at a party

Neither watching TV nor drinking tea

Neither eating snacks nor avoiding tax

Neither writing a song nor just getting along

Neither riding a boat nor getting a new coat

Neither having a snowball fight nor seeing a glorious site

Neither playing with a kid nor getting the bid

Neither rising above nor falling in love

 For each of these things

Though fit for the kings

Are not what is awesome on Earth

But just a part of the list of life

That begins right at birth
