Listen

They enclose us into one community

And as always we are kept in a jungle

Treated like animal

The community zoo

Where every stereotypical person watches

They throw peanuts at us

Then laugh

But the funny thing is we accepted without protest

Listen

We come from a long bloodline of beautiful kings and queens

Their skin dark, radiant as the glittering moon

We were the Lions of the earth

And yet we don't appreciate our skin

We want to trade it for snow

Snow that makes you freeze to death and laughs at your death for the hell of it

Don't we as a people care about our pride as blacks

Listen

Don't you hear the alarm clock ringing

Telling you to wake up

War is happening between each other because we don't know our history

Instead of fighting against each other we should stand together

United we stand divided we fall

Listen

I am here to educate you for the false history that was taught

Re-educate you about your bloodline

How when you are educated

They fear you

Not a black person being a monkey

We need them to get you to a better place in life

Not behind bars

I need you to Listen
