LISTEN

I am completely oblivious

To all things both vital and frivolous.

Why can’t we just turn a new leaf

To save us from unnecessary sighs and grief.

Why can’t you just slow down a bit,

As not to make me look so dimly lit.

Your kindness is pitiless,

Your smiles render me faithless.

Toward all people I will ever meet

I shall never excel beyond a greet.
