Listen

Everyone is talking.

No one is listening.

In a world where we all want to be heard-

No one is hearing a word.

I want to use my life to listen.

To take people's stories left unwritten

to write them, and make every eye glisten-

smitten.

Because if all of us could just listen

We'd have a world we could truly live in.
