listen to the beat.

sit up, good posture, keep the focus,
we’ve done this quite a thousand times.
not to complain, we love the routine:
sweetest melodies, notes that chime.
take a deep breath, poise and position,
smile bright with a pleasant disposition.

loving that first note,
with everything that follows,
and the way he plays
makes it hard to swallow.
this tune so familiar
with such a catchy ring
and everyone adhering
is imposed to sing.
and keeping it going
until the final sound,
“i love that song! encore!”
is what is heard from the crowd.

they make us proud .
