Listen Closer
Screaming. Shouting. Yelling.
So loud. For so long. Until your throat goes hoarse.
After all that noise, you look around
look around to see if anyone. Anyone. Is running forward to help,
If anyone turned if anyone even heard.
But if they did, they don't turn.
They don't rush to help.
They. Don't. Care.
Even if it saved a life, a heartbeat, a breath.
THEY DON'T CARE.
No one is going to help. Because no one cares to.
But you do. You care.
Or you wouldn't have screamed, you wouldn't have made a sound.
You would've slipped away into oblivion. With no one the wiser.
But You didn't. You wanted help, begged for it. And no one gave it.
Because you don't need it.
You can help yourself. Because you care. You heard.
You don't need them.
SAVE YOURSELF.
Sometimes you have to do it yourself because you are worth it.
No one else noticed because they don't need to.
You noticed.
That is all that matters.
