listening to my parents speak

i am watching.

two people speak

i watch there lips move

yet I can not understand

the words they say or there meaning

they take turns speaking to me

one speaks in rhymes and riddles

her words taste sweet with a bitter after taste.

her words feel as though they are wrapped in silk

there true meaning burried

beneath layers of fabric

the second speaker bashes his words agaist rocks

they are rough and course

his words taste of roses

thorns and all

listening to both speakers takes all my concentration

its tax on me is evident

both speaker prech of light and darkness

hood and evil

yet neithers words hold meaning
