A Literal Glow-Up

When I was young,

It was gray,

Mostly,

Normal,

Or at least I thought,

What is a neutral feeling?
Truly, I didn’t know,

At least in the way I do now,

My life had a glow-up,

Literally,

I clawed out of that hole,

That deep, dark pit,

Depression,

Pills, therapy, and so on,

Now, I feel truly human,

Alive,

And happy to be,

For the first time
