Little Angel Girl

A little girl

She wanders in the night

Searching for home

Five years old with no place to go

She doesn't understand why

No one can see her

No one can hear her

No one hears her cries for help

She's lost and alone

White dress torn and bloodied

Little black shoes that no longer click when she walks

None of it makes any sense to her

She cries as she wonders

Why she's unwanted and why she's unloved

But soon enough,

Her suffering will end

For the Father above will take her home

Where she will spread her newly grown wings

And fly

Like the beautiful little angel girl that she is.
