Little Bird

One little bird peers out from an ol' Sycamore, Hesitantly, reluctantly watching, As a boy gets flung into a plaster-filled wall. Yearning for action, yet lingering on a branch. Attempting at fostering, The boy who gently weeps. This unjust treatment should not be a familiar one, But alas, every other bird that saw Just fluttered away. At last, the two see one another, Observe one another, While time stands still. Yet once the boy starts to speak, The little bird flies away.
