Little Black Creatures

I watch them exist

They leap out of the page

No movement occurs

But they are moving.

The things that they make

On their rippling stage

Emerge for a moment

Before retreating.

They are the ink

From the mind they are born

These little black creatures

These letters.

And as they form words

They move as a storm

Making poetry

They make the world better.
