Little Boy

This little boy was only 12 you see His life was going perfectly When the world fell apart suddenly Diagnosis after diagnosis, tragedy after tragedy Heartache after heartache, disability after disability Brother and Sister didn’t understand why it had to be Mother and Father wanted to take the pain This little boy grew up with no friends This boy felt there would be no end To the pain that would transcend All he wanted was for his life to end Every night it was Why me? Why would God let me face this adversity? What did I do wrong to deserve this? It took years of healing to rebuild new meaning Years of reconciliation to realize that he had a new life A new life to live A new life to love The old man died, a new man was born Life started anew This little boy is now a man His life is a blank slate This new man is me
