Little dry grass

The loyal green grass in the midst of the drought awaits the Sun

The Sun has helped the little green grass grow day by day

What is the little dry grass compared to the Sun

The one it leans towards each day

But the Sun as it rises burns the little dry grass

The little dry grass is scared of the Sun

It does not know what brought on this anger it's way

Day by day he wears away but the heat does not pass

The thunder clouds which once were it's friends brings no relief as the humidity continues to last

Only fire and smoke

Cause it to choke

With electricity crackling in the air

How will the little dry grass survive

It closes it's senses to the sound of it's demise

As the Sun continues to rise

I wrote this waaaaay before all my other poems but because it is kind of sad and didn't really have a message I hesitated about posting it. I finally felt the little green grass was begging to have his story told even if it sad , so here it is. I hope you can sympathise with this poor blade of grass.
