To the Little Gem I Treasure

When no one was there for me, you were there
Those sleepless nights which once chased me like a deadly hunter, don’t dare come near me
Cause’ I have you, an angel disguised as a friend
A friend who comforted me when I shivered in the cold folds of the night
When, I myself didn’t know what to do
You stretched your arm, willing to help
And your warm hands wiping my tears, bringing a smile my mirror had never seen before
The way my heart fluttered when I read those sweet letters by you
And the way my eyes shone bright when I saw you
This better not be an illusion because even death isn’t ready to take it away from me
