The little girl
Eight years have passed and I’m still that little girl
That little girl you yelled at because you said I disgust you since I remind you of my mother
Your ex wife
My care provider
Your money drainer
I am now twelve years old and you ignored me for two months because I defended my mother after you called her such offensive names that even I knew were wrong
You told me to go up to her and to tell her that you told her to go screw herself
I am now thirteen years old and the day after my thirteenth birthday you told me I was pathetic because you saw I had a C in math class
The other day you saw your twelve year old son swearing because he lost an Xbox game
You asked him where this awful foul mouth came from and right before you finish your sentence he screams back
You.
You told me I was going to turn out like my mother and that I should marry someone rich just because I have no chance in being able to take care of myself
50% of Marriages end in divorce. You know it, I know it, because You are the third generation of divorced parents
You were the one to try to convince me I was worthless
You were the one to tell me I won’t go far
You were the one to say I was Pathetic.
But the truth is…
It will always be in the eye of the beholder
I am almost 16 and have no contact with you anymore
And one day you’ll see, I am no longer that eight year old messenger you tried to hurt.
