Little Girl

She's just a little girl

With her eyes full of tears

Her heart full of dreams

But those dreams are broken

They are destroyed by reality

She was so innocent

But, then she wasn't

She was a mess of emotions

But nobody knew that

They thought she was fine

I mean she never said anything wrong

Never acted out

She was just OKAY

If only they knew how okay she was

The numerous times she wanted to end it

To end her

She was okay

And then she wasn't

She was sad

Always and forever

Sad

She was the definition of depressed

She couldn't stand it

Being Okay

Because she wasn't okay

She was broken and that's all she would ever be

BROKEN

BEATEN

BRUISED

Just a broken child

With no more hopes and dreams
