Little Girl

Little girl,

your heart is big,

like a pond to a tadpole.

I wish to protect you,

keep you alive in the art of my pen,

because you deserve to be heard.

Little girl

there are not enough cameras in the world to truly capture the beauty of your soul.

Yet all I seem to do is hide your holes,

the ones that never close.

Do not cry, little girl.

Even in those dark, murky holes,

your light seems to glow,

providing warmth for every flower you grow.

Little girl,

you aren't so little anymore.
