"Little head, Big Thoughts,"

5 foot something not very tall,
Always looking small,
However that's not all...
Little hands and big eyes,
Hat constantly on head,
Not always ahead,
Still trying to be on point,
With the world I'm still trying to understand
Despite walking on it for almost two decades,
Still learning about me
Through music, books, and TV,
Listening to "The White Album," like
"Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da",
Walter White, Katniss Everdeen,
Throw in a "67" Impala
Ah, and yet I am still trying to seek,
What will make me hit my peak
If not my stride in trying to make the best out of life,
To create my happiness and success,
To justify humble beginnings and family stress
Though I love them and want to make them proud,
While proving that I'm an adult standing ground,
No more bottle in hand,
Nor spoon fed,
Doing my own thing is all I want,
All I seek,
While still trying to be me,
In a world quick to judge so easily,
Though my perception of it is quirky
And not straightforward
But who said life was like that in the first place?
I'm forgetful, accident-prone, a clutz in the way,
A "work in process," one might say,
However my determination to push forward
Despite all obstacles ahead,
Keeps me grounded, and motivated
As I continue to discover who I am.
